WORKING PROCESS
Working for brands brings new perspectives on my work.
Mutual understanding is the most important ingredient for a successful collaboration. When I work with brands or people, I ask them a lot of questions so I understand who their audience is. I work closely with the designers and the marketing department.
CASE STUDY
Learn more about the process behind the drift car design in Malaysia:
- THE BACKGROUND:
- I was in Kuala Lumpur for a solo exhibition in Stussy flagship store.
- THE OPPORTUNITY:
- Motorsport Playground contacted me. They are the leading car customization’s business in Malaysia… They asked me to work on a drift car. The machine belongs to Remus Chang, one of the drift champion in Malaysia.
- THE PROCESS:
- We worked together on several drafts, trying to find the best solution to blend my artworks with the racing vehicle. The idea was to bypass the technological limitations to achieve an outstanding result.
- THE RESULT:
- We displayed the finished car in the front of my exhibition.
The company reached a new and younger audience. Many websites and magazines talked about it.
Everybody was happy.
