For the release of their 25th issue ACCLAIM Magazine<\/a> hosts an art show to help raise awareness for the plight of the Drop Bear. <\/strong>
\nAcclaim new issue focuses exclusively on Australian content. They invited some of today\u2019s most exciting local and international artists to support the Drop Bear cause. Artists created artworks to pay tribute to this iconic Australian beast.
\nThis group exhibition was a lot of fun. ACCLAIM chose my artwork to illustrate the event’s communication.
\nI named my artwork Marsupial Trece. It came in a really limited-edition of hi-quality silk-screen silver prints on black art paper. I numbered and signed all the artworks.
\nAcclaim magazine<\/a> presented its new issue along with the Save The Drop Bear exhibition at House of Bricks in Collingwood, Australia. <\/em><\/p>\n

The launch was huge! Probably Acclaim’s magazine biggest launch to date. The House of Bricks space is new, so everyone was really psyched on it and excited to see the beautiful space. Apparently everyone loved the artworks.

What is a Drop Bear? <\/h3>\n

The drop bear is a fictional animal. <\/strong>
\nAustralian people usually describe this imaginary marsupial to new comers, as a national prank.
\nDropbears are large and vicious versions of koalas that live in trees and attack tourists by dropping on their heads.
\nEven the Australian Museum took part in the prank and wrote an entry on drop bears in their catalogue.
\nThis art exhibition celebrated the Australian popular culture. Acclaim magazine organized it for the release of their Australian issue. <\/p>\n
